Job Summary:
In this role, the Corporate Finance Director will be a key member of the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) leadership team and serve as a key financial interface between Finance and senior management across the company.
The Director will coordinate our capital markets activity and our financial planning process, ensuring that both are aligned with our longer term strategic and financial aspirations. They will oversee activities ranging from driving the financial close process to building the infrastructure for public company reporting and capital markets engagement.
The Director will bring best practices and thoughtful approaches to modeling the business and build budgets and forecasts which align with strategic objectives and operational initiatives.
The Director will also be responsible for monitoring ongoing business performance metrics, delivering value-added business analysis, as well as reporting meaningful financial and operational metrics that lead to insightful and accurate business decision-making. Financial system and process optimizations will also be an area of focus.
Given their unique position in the company, the Director help define coordination and communication between various teams (management team, finance, accounting) and the board/investors. The successful candidate will possess strong project management and communication skills, easily managing and influencing Finance & Accounting teams, Employees, Investors, and our Board.
Responsibilities:
Manage budget modeling and quarterly forecasting process for ARR, Bookings, Billings, and Revenue, including coordination and analysis and top-line reporting
Be the central coordinating point in FP&A team for planning, capital markets activities, public company reporting.
Build and manage our long term financial model that is used as a basis for our strategic planning and investor communications.
Implement, oversee and manage the continued development of the operating plan and modeling tools, and related business reviews
Assist with M&A activities and partner on investor relation type function and guidance
Support strategic planning process and any future acquisition analyses
Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators, including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses, capital expenditures, cash flows, and ROI
Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of variances
Supporting Senior Management Team and Departments heads with in-depth analysis
Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes
Analyze internal business outlook versus street guidance and analyst models
Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis, including sensitivity analysis and cost/profitability projects
Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives
Prepare presentations to Board of Directors and Senior Management Team
Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
8-10 years of progressive, relevant experience in FP&A handling a full P&L.
Software and SaaS experience preferred
3-5+ years of Investment Banking or other relevant experience
Strong modeling and analytical skills
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Finance or related field. MBA preferred
Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Statistics are preferred major fields
Salesforce or similar CRM experience preferred
Strong systems aptitude and proficiency, including expert Excel skills. NetSuite and Adaptive Insights experience a plus
Experience working with BI tools and large data sets.
Experience with performance management, scorecards, and dashboarding.
Prior use or experience implementing and supporting a planning tool
Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
