Position DescriptionJob SummaryTheDiamond Forming Specialistis responsible for the manufacturing; mixing, molding, pressing, and inspection of metal, resin, and vitrified bond systems, with emphasis on in-process inspection and forming operations used for the electronics market for wafer thinning applications.A Diamond Forming Specialist:Utilizes knowledge of various Superabrasives products along with metal, resin and vitrified bond products.Operates presses, mixing and molding equipment, inspection units and various other manufacturing equipment.Mounts, installs, aligns, and secures tools, attachments, fixtures, and work pieces on machines, using a wide variety of hand / power tools and precision measuring instruments.Studies blueprints, work orders, or machining instructions to determine product specifications, tool requirements, and operational sequences.Mixes, mold, presses and inspects metal, resin and vitrified bond FAVS type products.Monitors machine operation and controls panel displays, and compares readings to specifications in order to detect malfunctions.Logs data and process monitoring utilizing SPC formatted systems and procedures.Supports World Class Manufacturing activities including autonomous work teams.
