This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Air Force Research Labs (AFRL) Sensors Directorate, Rapid Technology Development & Demonstrations (RTD2) program perform research and development in the areas of open systems architecture (OSA) and rapid integration and demonstration of ISR technologies. In support of this multi-year high visibility program, your position as a Electrical Engineering Intern will be to support USAF programs at Wright Patterson Air Force Base through a combination of laboratory, ground, and flight testing.

Primary Responsibilities• Design electrical components for use in military R&D ground and airborne platforms• Generate electrical wiring schematics• Build electrical wire harnesses from cables and connectors• Participate in laboratory, ground and flight testing to validate electrical hardware• Document and communicate proposed electrical hardware solutions• Work with integrated, cross-functional engineering teams in a highly technical environment• Use modeling and simulation tools for hardware products and systems (Cameo, Creo Schematics, Creo Parametric)• Contribute to design discussions and peer reviews of electrical hardware and equipmentBasic QualificationsCurrently Pursuing a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, or similarly relevant engineering discipline.This internship position is onsite at our Beavercreek Ohio office - applicant/candidate is expected to work daily in our facility. Candidate must provide their own living arrangements and transportation.Candidate must be able to obtain a DOD Secret Security Clearance, which requires US citizenship.Strong interpersonal and communication skillsPreferred QualificationsActive DoD Secret (or higher) ClearancePrevious CAD experiencePrevious Department of Defense (DoD) / Military electrical hardware experiencePrevious ruggedized / airworthy electrical hardware experienceTroubleshooting and fault isolation skills (e.g. ohmmeters, network testers oscilloscopes, signal generators, RF analyzers)Original Posting Date:2025-01-15While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.Pay Range:Pay Range $46,800.00 - $84,600.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
