Tech Risk - Governance, Regulatory & Engagement - Regulatory Engagements & Governance - Vice PresidentYOUR IMPACTYou will be a key addition to the Technology Risk Governance, Regulatory, and Engagement (GRE) team which provides governance over various aspects of the firm’s information security and cyber security program, ensures regulatory obligations are understood and achieved, through the development and monitoring of controls and risks. You will specifically work towards responding to and supporting the firm’s regulatory obligations and interactions with global regulatory agencies.Goldman Sachs has one of the most progressive Technology Risk teams in the industry and is continuing to push the development of risk in preference to security within technology and the business. Year on year success has led the team to work deeper into the organization and gain valuable insights into how technology needs to function, what its risk really is and how this impacts the business.

HOW WILL YOU FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL?Within GRE, you will be part of the Regulatory Engagement and Governance pillar and will be responsible for supporting the firm’s cyber security focused regulatory interactions. Your responsibilities will include:Creating materials for use in cyber security related forums, regulatory exams and formal enquiriesAnalyzing and driving implementation efforts for new rules or changes within existing or upcoming relevant regulationsDeveloping comprehensive documentation to support strategic initiatives and processes focused on improving the regulatory interactionsParticipating in strategic initiatives such as partnering with global teams responsible for managing relationships with external agenciesDriving the improvement of current processes, procedures and reports, including automation of manual processes where possibleDriving the enhancement of reporting and metric capabilities for the functionBASIC QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree, or higherInterest in information security and/or cybersecurity and the financial services sector8+ years of prior experience in a risk, compliance, regulatory, or information technology/security adjacent roleBasic project management and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple requests at the same timeExperience analyzing regulation and legislationExcellent interpersonal skills at all levels and the ability to develop and maintain good relationshipsAbility to work independently or within a group in order to analyze challenges and propose solutionsAbility to prioritize requests and adapt to changing needs in a dynamic work environmentOutstanding stakeholder managementCreative thinking and problem-solving abilities, coupled with a risk management mindsetEffective communication with technical and non-technical audiences, both verbally and in writingPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSUnderstanding of global regulations relevant to information securityExperience responding to and interacting with regulators and/or external agenciesExperience comparing regulatory requirements and guidance to firm controls to evaluate adherenceThe Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. is a leading global investment banking, securities and investment management firm that provides a wide range of financial services to a substantial and diversified client base that includes corporations, financial institutions, governments and individuals.
