Please note that farm is located in Garnett, KS4x10 Day Shift | Monday - Thursday; 6am-4:30pm | Overtime availablePay Rate $22/hrResponsibilities:Feed animals daily and provide care as neededBleed sheep up to 8 hours/day at a minimum of 3 days/week for diagnostic purposesAdminister routine immunizations and treatments as directedProvide basic feed and upkeep for animals on a rotational basisPerform routine maintenance on animal care facilities and equipmentAssist with repairs of buildings, electrical, and plumbing systemsOperate farm and construction equipment and machineryReport safety hazards to the appropriate personnelRequirements:Educational background: Equivalent experience to a High School Diploma or GED is acceptable.Related farm or mechanical experience preferredCertification/licensure in welding, plumbing, or related field is a plusMechanical proficiency and ability to operate hand tools and equipmentAbility to lift up to 25 pounds and walk approximately up to 2 hours a dayThermo Fisher Scientific offers an excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage effective from day one.
