Job Description SummaryYour role as the Wind Farm Field Service Technician will see you interface regularly with the Service Managers, Customer, internal technical team, other GE Onshore wind farms, contractors and the local community. Joining the resident site team in performing scheduled and unscheduled servicing of wind turbines and site infrastructure, undertaking tasks including annual maintenance, retrofit works, major component exchange and fault finding. Qualifications/Requirements:As a minimum, either a qualified electrician or a qualified mechanic with electrical aptitude.Electrical License - Grade A would be highly regarded (but not essential).Proficient in fault finding electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment.Trained to an intermediate level in computer skills.Must have positive attitude and the ability to complete physically demanding tasks at heights and be willing to climb wind turbines.Must hold a current Australian Driver’s licenseDesired Characteristics:Technical aptitudeProblem solving skillsCommitment to safety protocolsEffective communication and teamworkHRWL including Dogging, Rigging (Advanced), Forklift, EWPGWO Basic (All candidates without GWO will go through a GWO course upon joining)GWO Advanced Rescue TrainingHV Switching Qualification/ExperienceAdditional InformationRelocation Assistance Provided:Yes
