Position Summary…What you’ll do…About Team:Focusing on customer, associate and business needs, this team works with Walmart International, which includes more than 5,200 retail units, operating in 23 countries such as Canada, Central America, Chile, Mexico and South Africa to name a few.TheGroup Director of Software Engineeringwill be a pivotal technology leader (reporting to Vice President, Engineering), overseeing a global team of engineers and driving the development of next-generation platforms for Walmart International eCommerce with a specific on Purchase, Post-Purchase, Customer Care, and Communication:Leading a team of senior engineering leaders and architectsto design, build, and maintain the next-generation, multi-market technology platform on a global scale.Collaborating with product, business, and operations leadersto define, prioritize, and execute the product and technology roadmap, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives.Building and nurturing a world-class engineering organization,including recruiting, mentoring, and developing senior architects and engineering leaders to foster a high-performing team.Proactively identifying and addressing customer issues,ensuring continuous improvement in platform availability, reliability, performance, and user experience.Cultivating a culture of innovation, platform thinking, and engineering/operational excellence,driving continuous improvement in both product development and operational efficiency.
