WHO WE ARE LOOKING FORWe are seeking a curious and self-driven Innovation Maintenance Technician to join our team; an experienced maintenance professional with skills across multiple dimensions including mechanical, electrical, and automation. This highly collaborative role will help drive our preventative maintenance program while supporting new equipment installations and upgrades, effectively responding to repairs, and partnering with Nike Innovation teams to support continuous equipment improvements. This individual will have a high degree of independent problem-solving skills with the ability to be flexible in an ambiguous environment.Strong troubleshooting skills within the areas of mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics.Demonstrated experience working with a variety for fabrication tooling, including extrusion, thermoform, and injection mold processing equipment and its support equipment such as material dryers, loaders and transfer systems is preferred. Experience working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and variable frequency drives is a plus.Able to lift objects up to 50 lbs and work at heightExperience working with basic hand tools, machine shop equipment, precision measuring instruments, Volt/Ohm meters, amp meters, cutting and welding equipmentStrong written & verbal communication skills - cultural awareness is requiredWhat you bring:Associate’s degree or relevant trade certificate or equivalent combination of education, experience or training4+ years relevant maintenance experience (preferably footwear manufacturing).LME, HVAC/R cert, etc. a plusAble to obtain a PMV license and NFPA 70E certification within 6 monthsPersonal computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft office and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).WHAT YOU’LL WORK ONAs a Maintenance Technician, you will help deliver an Innovation-wide mechanical support program. You will work hands-on and independently with machinery and projects providing technical problem solving for repair, installation, and start-up. Additionally, you will collaborate with Engineering to provide expertise for new equipment or upgrades to existing hardware. You’ll be a key contributor in ensuring project disruption due to equipment failure is kept to a minimum.Using root-cause problem solving tools, you’ll help develop corrective action plans.You are the liaison between maintenance and other functional groups and contractors to ensure installations, PMs, and repairs are coordinated and completed successfully.You will help develop preventative maintenance plans to implement into a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).You support and execute training requirements and initiatives to improve team productivity.You provide clear communication to relevant stakeholders on goals and projects.NIKE, Inc. is a growth company that looks for team members to grow with it.
