Your role involves executing risk management decisions within credit authority levels and serving as a Subject Matter Expert on payment products and systems.

Job responsibilitiesReview and approve intraday overdrafts using credit authorityExecute sound risk management decisions within firm policies and proceduresAdvise Credit Officers and the Business on large or complex intraday situationsLearn client behaviors to identify abnormal activity and prepare for market eventsParticipate in crisis management and risk mitigation actionsDevelop strong relationships with Sales, Client Service, Operations, and Risk partnersCollaborate with senior team leads to balance firm and client interestsUnderstand how products help clients while managing associated risksAssist in developing policies and procedures for team as the coverage model is developed and deployedOwn daily deliverables and contribute to medium/long-term projectsChallenge and improve risk reports and support the Payments Chief Risk OfficerRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skillsBachelor’s degree in Finance or a related disciplineMinimum of 7 years of experience in credit or other risk disciplinesAbility to work autonomously in a time-sensitive environment, using data and critical thinking for real-time decisionsEffective communication, organizational, and time management skillsQualitative and quantitative knowledge of credit risk managementAbility to assess regulation impact on credit risk and translate into actionable deliverablesDesire to understand various lines of business and develop technology platformsProven control mindset and strong partnership skillsABOUT USJ.P.
