Oversees other technicians on large test efforts.Job DescriptionJob Description:Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures or governmental regulationsCoordinates use of supplies and equipment per test plansAssures equipment is in good working order prior to testing (via verification prior to use)Sets up/ operation of laboratory equipment and instruments such as precision balances, environmental chambers, software-based data acquisition systems and other equipment based on the details of the test plansAbility to modify test set ups, fixturing and data collection sheets in support of testingEvaluate test setups and processes when test results appear to be irregularMonitors test progress and keeps requestors informed and may need to coordinate/assign test activities to other technicians. Estimate time schedulesSkilled in computer applications such as Microsoft world, SAP and Microsoft Excel. Familiar with statistical calculations such as standard deviations, average, minimum, maximums as well as graphical representationsKeeps a clean, organized test area and keeps accurate, organized, and detailed records of testing performed, including deviations from test protocols or test methods.
