This position will serve our Water Heater Division, located in Montgomery, AL.WHAT YOU’LL DOUse simple blueprints and work from drawings as they relate to design of sheet metal components and general assemblies.Apply standards and standards-based methods for empirical testing to evaluate assigned problems.Apply the basics of airflow measurements and computations, temperatures (dry bulb, wet bulb, dew point, relative humidity) and pressure - temperature relationships to test setup and execution.Setup, adjust, and change test samples and setups for testing, perform the required testing in accordance with engineering specifications or defined test practices.Collect, analyze, interpret, summarize, and document data and information gathered during testing.Operate, maintain, and repair test equipment, instrumentation and systems in accordance with engineering specifications or defined test practices.Use of hand, welding and brazing tools.Provide regular verbal and written reports summarizing project results and conclusions to project leaders.Demonstrate an understanding of how to operate computer systems for data acquisition, test result recording, project status reporting, and to document/manage test documentation, records and reports.Demonstrate an understanding of how to manage electronic communications and test and project/task documentationDemonstrate basic skills in documenting test results and preparing formal reports of test results, conditions and procedures.Complete assigned tasks and participate in R&D design development teams according to defined requirements.History of regular and consistent attendance at work.Ability to work overtime with no restrictionsQualifications:WHAT YOU NEEDAssociates or Vo-tech Degree (2-year vocational program) from an accredited school in HVAC or related technical field or demonstrated equivalent experience.Successful completion of a Mechanical Aptitude assessmentDemonstrate basic plumbing, electrical, and construction skillsDemonstrate understanding of the concepts of sheet metal designDemonstrate understanding of the concepts of test standardsDemonstrate understanding of the concepts of materials properties and engineering cyclesDemonstrate understanding of the concepts of test performanceDemonstrate understanding of the concepts of equipment / system maintenance and repairDemonstrate understanding of design fabrication conceptsPossess knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, document and file management software (will be assessed)Demonstrate ability to work well with others in a team environmentDemonstrate an organized and detailed approach to test documentation and data collectionHOW TO STAND OUTExperience in driving and operating a lift truckRheem is an Equal Opportunity EmployerNotice to Third Party Recruitment Agencies:Please note that Rheem and its subsidiaries do not accept unsolicited resumes from recruiters or employment agencies.
