The Kafka Platform team is also involved in supporting PagerDuty and Uptrends SaaS platforms, including the automation of these platforms.The remote option applies only to the Candidates who will be working from any location in Ukraine.#LI-DNIResponsibilitiesInstall and provision new Kafka clusters and supporting componentsRegularly monitor the health and performance of the Kafka platform and data pipelinesIdentify and fix issues related to the platform including data pipelines, network problems, and cloud or containerization resource failuresPerform performance tuning of Kafka platform componentsOptimize the cost and performance of Kafka clustersUpgrade the Kafka platform to newer versions including planning, testing, and implementationManage the security of the Kafka platform including access control lists and encryptionPerform regular backups and disaster recovery proceduresManage the capacity of the Kafka platform including projecting future growth and scalDocument procedures, configurations, and issue resolutionsCollaborate with Confluent Support for unresolved issuesSupport existing IaC and CM automations/pipelines for platform managementMaintain and enhance onboarding automation scriptsSupport Kafka self-service automations for topic, RBAC, schema, and connectors managementSupport application teams in Kafka setup and onboardingProvide support for team requests in Slack and escalate complex ticketsImplement new vendor features as part of their product roadmapEnhance automation scripts and processes for self-service ticket reductionRequirements
