You will create software that enables your clients' hybrid-cloud and AI journeys.You’ll have the opportunity to work with the latest technologies, ensuring the applications delivered are high performing, highly available, responsive, and maintainable.Your primary responsibilities include:Lead the development and implementation of front-end and back-end applications using Scala.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and applications that meet business requirements.Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a team of developers.Ensure best practices in code quality, testing, and deployment are followed throughout the development lifecycle.Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to decision-making.Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to improve code quality and maintainability.Communicate effectively with stakeholders, translating technical concepts into clear and understandable language.Required Technical and Professional ExpertiseProven experience as a Lead Developer or similar role, with a background in Scala development using the Play framework.Extensive experience in designing, building, and maintaining software.Proficiency in using development tools, version control systems, and CI/CD pipelines.Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and practices.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.Knowledge of cloud platforms and services.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Preferably experience working in the Public Sector.As an equal opportunities' employer, we welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds.
