The LPM program primarily focuses on delivering process improvements and data insights that support both legal practitioners and business services. The LPM Analyst will play a crucial role in advancing our LPM program, both maintaining our existing matter management solutions and supporting the design and implementation of large-scale strategic initiatives. This position calls for a dynamic, data-driven, process-oriented individual who is eager to partner with professionals across the organization and deliver measurable ROI.Position may be tied to any of Wilson Sonsini’s offices or may be fully remote.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Elevating usage of matter management tools to facilitate financial analytics and real-time monitoring for attorneys.Applying data to drive process improvements, uncover efficiencies, and inform decision-making across legal practices and business services.Supporting the development of tailored AI/LLM solutions to enable large-scale matter analysis for scoping, budgeting, and real-time matter management.Maintain and enhance alert systems to ensure attorneys are proactively informed about financial performance.Analyzing historical matter data to support accurate fee estimates and streamlined pricing strategies, collaborating deeply with the Pricing team.Exploring and integrating technology solutions into attorney workflows in support of firm competitiveness.Partnering with the Pricing and Finance teams to develop improved team infrastructure (workflows, checklists, knowledge repositories, etc.) to streamline and mature the LPM and Pricing functions.Generating and presenting data analyses to illuminate matter performance and trends.Supporting team awareness of practice technology and LPM trends across the industry.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree required, with a preference for candidates with backgrounds in business economics, law, or related fields.Minimum 2+ years of experience in legal project management, financial analysis, or a related role within a professional services setting. Legal industry experience strongly preferred.Skills:Strong skills in data analysis and modeling, proficiency in Excel, and experience with visualization tools (e.g., Microsoft Power BI) preferred.Experience with SQL and legal billing systems (e.g., Aderant) preferred.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to produce professional, client-ready communications and reports.Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively, with a commitment to innovation and continuous improvement.Flexibility to adjust work schedule according to project demands.Exceptional attention to detail.The primary location for this job posting is in Palo Alto, but other locations are also listed. The actual base pay offered will depend upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to the selected candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, level of education, professional certifications and licenses, and work location. The anticipated pay range for this position is as follows:San Francisco and Silicon Valley: $102,000 - $138,000 per yearAustin, Boston, Boulder, District of Columbia, Los Angeles, New York, San Diego, Seattle, and Wilmington: $91,800 - $124,200 per yearSalt Lake City and all other locations: $81,600 - $110,400 per yearThe compensation for this position may include a discretionary year-end merit bonus based on performance.
