The team has also been developing and validating specialized modeling and simulation tools which require the collection of comprehensive physical, and cadaveric testing, robotic procedure, and in vivo gait lab data.The Modeling and Simulation intern carry out computational modeling and simulation (CM&S) involving both commercial finite element analyses (FEA) software as well as custom codes including those incorporate machine learning algorithm for CM&S input and output data analysis. They will also participate in test lab data collection, and draft reports, presentations and manuscripts.What You Need:Currently working on completion of a Master’s or PhD degree in related field or equivalent; we will only consider students who plan be enrolled in a degree-seeking program after the summerCumulative 3.0 GPA or above; must be the case at the date of hire and also will be verified during background check in the springSpecialized finite element analysis in your research or project workMust be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and not require employment-based sponsorship now or in the future.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflowVersatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasmAbility to exercise independent judgmentProficient on basic computer programs: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPointProven leadership and business acumen skillsProven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlinesStrong interpersonal skillsExperience with commercial FEA packages such as Abaqus, ANSYS and LS-DynaFamiliarity with programming languages such as MATLAB and PythonAbout StrykerStryker is a global leader in medical technologies and, together with its customers, is driven to make healthcare better.
