Overview:As an Occupant Sensing Mechanical Specialist, you will play a critical role in designing fluid-filled bladder systems that deliver precise pressure profiles for differentiating between small and large occupants and various types of child seats. Collaborating closely with customers and internal teams, you will ensure seamless integration of these systems into seat designs while maintaining high standards of safety, durability, and performance.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams to review project schedules, address issues, and align on deliverables.Work with customer seat CAD data to design and integrate bladders and ECU systems into seat designs, ensuring consistency in performance, durability, comfort, and compliance with Aptiv’s Occupant Sensing Design Standards.Conduct lab activities including:
