As part of a successful, growing global organization you will be encouraged to perform at your best.Key Responsibilities:Communicate effectively with clients, couriers and other operational departmentsVerify that quality assurance checks are completed and maintainedMaintain accurate logs of all transportation and goodsDetermine and maintain product classifications for import/export shipmentsComplete freight claims for damaged shipmentsCoordinate domestic, international, and warehouse transfer shipmentsCoordinate internally managed ordersCoordinate the movement of externally processed WIP and act as the primary point of contact with the supplier regarding the movement of materialsCommunicate daily with carriers and freight forwarders, in coordinating pickup and delivery of shipmentsPrepare and process required documentation; examples: commercial invoices, export documentation, certificates of origin, and bills of ladingProvide rate quotes per customers' requests for both current and future shipmentsMaintain standard operating procedures to reflect current processesValidate all freight bill & coding as deemed necessary from third party billing provider and corporate financeManage and maintain all record keeping requirements in accordance with Thermo Fisher policyWork closely with our warehouse personnel to ensure they have all documentation required to prepare shipment and understand regulatory requirementsDetermine load size and special handling requirements to optimize the best carrier for movement of goodsParticipate in PPI to continually improve processesMay be required to perform other related duties as required and/or assigned...
