About the RoleiCapital is looking for a lead Software Developer in Test to work on the iCapital platform. In this role, you’ll bring practical knowledge of agile development methodologies and engineering best practices. As a Software Developer in Test (SDET), you’ll work closely with the Development and Testing team. The ideal candidate would be a combination of a hands on developer who has some managerial experience, and who can understand existing automation test frameworks and has an ability to enhance and implement the same and should also be able to work with other engineers and product managers to support feature-based testing.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain performance test scripts using any of following toolsk6, JMeter, Locustorlighthouse.Design and execute various performance testing scenarios, includingload testing, stress testing, spike testing, and endurance testing.UtilizeGrafanafor monitoring and visualizing performance metrics, integrating it with data sources likePrometheus.Also work on UI load testingAnalyze performance test results, identify bottlenecks, and provide actionable recommendations for optimization.Work with development, QA, and DevOps teams to integrate performance testing into theCI/CD pipeline.Implement performance monitoring and alerting solutions for proactive issue detection.Generate detailed performance test reports, highlighting insights, trends, and areas for improvement.Collaborate with architects and developers to optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.Required Skills & Qualifications10-12 years of QA experience which includes 3-5 yearsof hands-on experience in performance testing and engineeringExpertise in performance testing tools, particularlyk6 and JMeter. Locust and lighthouse experience a plus..Strong scripting skills inNodeJS(fork6) and familiarity with other scripting languages likePythonorGroovy.Proficient in usingGrafanafor creating dashboards and visualizing performance data.Experience withAPIs, microservices architecture, andcloud platforms(e.g.,AWS, Azure, GCP).Solid understanding ofHTTP protocols, web technologies, and REST APIs.Familiarity with performance monitoring and analysis tools likePrometheusandAPM solutions(e.g.,New Relic).Hands on experience on UI load testing tools like lighthouse or hp load runner a plus.Strong analytical skills for interpreting performance test results and diagnosing system performance issues.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.The base salary range for this role is $150,000 to $170,000. iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
