JOB DESCRIPTIONProvide customer service. Accurately fill prescriptions for customers in accordance with State and Federal laws and regulations. Assist in proper selection of non-prescription remedies. Advise and counsel customers about their medicines, provide knowledge of medication uses and side effects, evaluate all prescriptions as to appropriateness. Interact with physicians regarding patient concerns on behalf of patients. Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.RESPONSIBILITIESUsual business attendance requiredDemonstrate the interpersonal skills required to interact with guests, co-workers and other heath professionalsProvides customer serviceCommunicates verbally with customers and store personnelReceives verbal RX orders and accurately reduce to writing in adherence with State and Federal laws and regulationsInterprets, fills, and refills prescription orders completely and accurately, accurately labels and bags prescriptionsEvaluates appropriateness of RX orders with consideration to patient safety, and legal requirements.Provides drug counseling with customers and prescribesBecomes familiar with and utilizes third party billing and procedures,facilitates charge for customerMaintains accurate records, properly receives RX information fromcustomer, properly and accurately delivers RX to customer, assistswith over-the-counter medicationExecutes phone calls to prescribes authorizationDemonstrates ability to accurately and efficiently utilize RX computer systemMaintains accurate inventory and research of controlled substances in compliance with the record keeping of the controlled substance accountProvides immunizationsConsults with vendorsMonitors level of supplies and orders if needed; properly stocks incoming ordersCompares and checks incoming orders
