Job SummaryThis position will be split between procurement and product compliance responsibilities. The general responsibility of procurement is to ensure we purchase high quality materials at the lowest possible cost with no supply chain disruptions. Essential job functions include data collection, product quality comparison, analyzing spend data, assistance with RFP’s, monitoring vendor performance, managing pricing files and documenting cost savings. The general responsibility of product compliance is to ensure all products sold are properly registered within the states and required tonnage fees are paid on time. Essential job functions include submitting monthly, quarterly and annual tonnage reports, renewing and submitting new product registrations, collaborating with sales and marketing on new product development and maintaining records of all registrations. Some travel may be required.Job ResponsibilitiesReview and analyze monthly spend data and seek savings opportunitiesEvaluate product quality and performanceReview national program spend and track participation across all facilitiesPrepare RFP documents to send to potential vendorsAnalyze RFP data, calculate savings and prepare leadership summary reportsMaintain organized pricing files for different spending categories and vendorsGather information from manufacturing sites to assist in procurement initiativesDevelop analytical tools to improve team efficiencyParticipate and collaborate during team meetingsReport project savings and update information in AribaMaintain project pipeline to keep track of future savings opportunitiesKeep current on corporate procurement projects and initiativesWork toward becoming a subject expert for fertilizer, soil amendments and liming material registration requirementsProactively identify changes in Fed, State or Local regulations, using State and MSC resourcesProvide feedback and input into market opportunities and threats resulting from changing Rules & RegulationsEnsure product registrations and licenses are renewed on time for nearly 200 items and 48 statesReview currently registered items and recommend cancellations of obsolete items to minimize costsRecommend items that should be registered to avoid potential “stop sale” ordersRegister new items in a timely manner as directedBecome familiar with products, customers and potential customer distribution of our productsAs it relates to the Value Proposition, become familiar with competitive products and product performance claimsCollaborate with the sales and marketing team during new product development to ensure all state registration requirements are metWorking with Marketing & Technical Services, determine claims to be made to enhance Consumer Experience and OCLG Value PropositionCollaborate with the demand planning team to be sure new items added to the forecast are registered in the states we sellEnsure monthly, quarterly and annual tonnage reports are submitted to each state on timeMaintain files of what products are registered in each state, when they were last renewed and when the next renewal is dueParticipate and collaborate during team meetings and new product developmentDevelop strong business relationships with state officials who handle product registrationsPromptly report issues or delays related to product registrationsOther duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as neededJob RequirementsExceptional organization and attention to detailExcellent communication skillsAbility to work as part of a teamAdvanced excel skillsAbility to create simple but meaningful analysis of complex dataWhat CRH Offers YouHighly competitive base payComprehensive medical, dental and disability benefits programsGroup retirement savings programHealth and wellness programsA diverse and inclusive culture that values opportunity for growth, development, and internal promotionAbout CRHCRH has a long and proud heritage.
