Minimum QualificationsBachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar field).5+ years in product development, including experience shipping products with CM and/or ODM overseas partners.Ability to travel internationally up to 15%Preferred Qualifications10+ years in consumer product development, product design, or engineering program managementTop-notch analytical skills, with ability to toggle between detail-orientated and strategic, large-picture thinkingDetailed systems engineering and specification development for build-to-spec consumer electronicsExpertise in part cost modeling and developing a costed BOMHigh-volume manufacturing experience, especially around acoustics, power conversion, high-voltage safety, and battery systems highly valued.Thorough understanding of product development and validation cycle including use case development, risk assessment, test planning, and validation testing, and safety certificationExperience with supplier management & shipping high-volume consumer products via JDM/ODM with overseas development partners.Pay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $312,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
