Position DescriptionJob SummaryWhat’s the job?The Quality & Process Control Engineer is responsible for driving improvements in product quality and process control through statistical process controls (SPC), process engineering activities and implementation of quality systems. The incumbent will lead efforts to analyze and reduce process variation, develop preventive controls, and ensure quality standards are upheld. Additionally, the Quality & Process Control Engineer will lead/assist in quality planning activities, cost reduction initiatives and capital projects.Duties/Responsibilities

Required QualificationsWhat do you bring?4-year engineering degree and a minimum of 2-years of experience in a data driven problem solving role within a manufacturing setting.2+ years Statistical Process Control (SPC) driving improved process improvement and improved quality performanceDemonstrated experience and advanced knowledge of data collection systemsSolid written and verbal communication skills in order to affect positive and professional interaction between the department and other internal groups.Fundamental understanding of quality philosophies, principles, systems, methods, tools, standards, organizational and team dynamics, customer expectations and satisfaction, supplier relations and performance, leadership, training, interpersonal relationships, improvement systems and professional ethics.Basic understanding of the audit process including types of audits, planning, preparation, execution, reporting results and follow-up.Ability to develop and implement quality programs, including tracking, analyzing, reporting and problem solving.A thorough understanding of problem-solving and quality improvement tools and techniques.Understanding of human factors and motivation.Familiarity with quality cost concepts and techniques.Ability to acquire and analyze data using appropriate statistics and standard quantitative methods.Proficient with Technology; MS Office, Programming (Python preferred), and technologically literateBachelor’s degreein Civil, Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering with a minimum of 2 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment through permanent employment or internship(s).Company SummaryWhy work for us?Through the responsible development of innovative and sustainable building products, CertainTeed, headquartered in Malvern, Pennsylvania, has helped shape the building products industry for more than 110 years.
