ResponsibilitiesContribute to R&D projects from the initial concept stage to final product rolloutAnalyze power converter systems, develop and assess modulation, control and protection conceptsPerform converter and system-level modeling and simulation, and feasibility and benchmarking studiesAnalyze impact of power electronics on magnetics (e.g. transients on transformers)Program and test control and protection software on real-time simulators - hardware-in-the-loop (HIL)Develop system design concepts and toolsSupport customer project tendering and execution activitiesOrganize and execute laboratory testing as well as on-site commissioning at a domestic and international level

BackgroundMSc or PhD Degree (University/University of Applied Sciences) in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on Power Electronics and ControlHands on experience on at least one project including power electronics design, control and testing.Industrial experience with Power Converters and/or Control Software is an advantageKnowledge of magnetics, specially transformers, is a plusProficiency in the use of simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS and PSCADGoal-oriented mind-set with excellent organizational and analytical skillsCritical thinking and excellent reporting, presentation, and communication skillsTeam spirit with the capacity to work independentlyWorking proficiency in English.
