We partner closely with R&D to experiment with early prototypes and vet out product designs throughout the design process. What this really means, is we get to be the Mythbusters of our division. Just like the show, we quickly design and build fixtures to simulate real life situations. This experimentation is mission critical so we find the issues when we can solve them and prevent them from impacting our customers and ultimately patients. You will directly be making healthcare better. In addition to this hands-on experimentation, you will also be responsible for design verification for a subset of the product: from creating initial test plans through test reports that are included in regulatory submissions. Communication and coordination are essential skills as you will share and/or coordinate samples, test execution, test results, and timelines with a cross-functional project teamWhat You NeedCurrently working on completion of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related field or equivalent; we will only consider students who plan to be enrolled in a degree-seeking program after the summerCumulative 3.0 GPA or above; must be the case at the date of hire and also will be verified during background check in the springMust be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and not require employment-based sponsorship now or in the future.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflowVersatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasmAbility to exercise independent judgmentProficient on basic computer programs: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPointProven leadership and business acumen skillsProven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlinesStrong interpersonal skillsHourly Wage: $22 min hourly wage - $32 max hourly wage and either paid corporate housing or a living stipend, dependent upon hiring location.About StrykerStryker is one of the world’s leading medical technology companies and, together with its customers, is driven to make healthcare better.
