Begin your journey of a flourishing and fulfilling career, share your resume with us today!Primary Duties:Reverse engineer potential signals of interest from potential exposure scenarios and clinical findingsDetermine experimental requirements based on hypotheses of interactions of directed energy signals (auditory and radiofrequency) with the cochlear and vestibular structuresIndependently designs metrics and protocols using in silico, in vitro and/or in vivo preparations to meet experimental requirements.Execute complex laboratory tests of the auditory and vestibular systemsMonitor and maintain real-time data collection capabilities to include molecular, electrophysiological and imaging modalitiesDevelop and implement new laboratory standard operating proceduresTest new instrumentation and participate in experiment designPrepare proposals, reports, presentations, or journal articles communicating research activities and findingsParticipate as a collaborating scientist in project proposal development and designOversees contract personnel associated with research projects; manages research dataPerforms surgical and non-surgical procedures on animal models as needed for both survival and non-survival studiesWhat Sets You Apart:PhD in a related field with 5 or more years of experienceAbility to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams with program managers, scientists, and engineers for experiment development and execution is requiredAbility to obtain certification in American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS); American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Course; American Red Cross CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation); or equivalent. Web based classes do not meet these standardsHave or be able to obtain, and maintain, a Secret U.S. Government Clearance to be hired. Preference given to candidates who already possess this clearance level, but not required to have to start.Due to Federal contract requirements, US Citizenship is required.You might also have:Experience in a military medical research laboratory (Preferred)Original Posting Date:2024-11-25While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.Pay Range:Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
