In order to build a sustainable business, Adyen, as a financial institution, needs to know at all times what our customers are up to and whether this is in line with Card Scheme regulations and our risk appetite. The Scheme Operations team is responsible for ensuring that our customers are compliant with these regulations.As a Scheme Operations Analyst, you are always looking to optimize our internal processes and find scalable solutions to keep our portfolio compliant. You support strategic business growth while meeting compliance goals and mitigate non-compliance losses for Adyen and its clients. You need to work closely with different teams globally, such as Compliance, Sales, Account Management, Card Payments, and Product.What You’ll DoTake ownership over our operational merchant risk management. Help embed a good risk culture in the first line through proactive engagement, training and collaboration in supporting adoption of the three lines of defense modelStay up to date of the latest Card Network requirements and Adyen product expansions. Translate this into an operational strategy for the Scheme Operations team and provide ongoing guidance to our merchants and internal teams, including Underwriting, Sales and Account ManagementSet up new processes to monitor our merchant portfolio against card scheme rulesProcess Enhancement: Proactively and systematically drive process improvements and automation on our workflowsManage non-compliance notifications from the card schemes. Work closely together with our Merchants, Account Managers, Card Schemes and other stakeholders to solve these cases quicklyHelp internal teams establish strategies that align with global objectives to ensure controlled and sustainable growth of the businessWho You AreYou have at least 2 years of professional work experienceYou are detail oriented and organized, with an an analytical and critical mindsetYou are a self-starter and have the ability to thrive in a start-up environment with minimal supervision and run things like your own businessYou are able to convey compliance and card scheme requirements to our merchants and commercial teamsYou have strong people skills. Specifically, you will be able to collaborate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and merchants from varying disciplines and culturesYou have sound judgment and flexibility in changing courses and solving problems swiftlyBonus: Knowledge of scheme rules, with specific experience in e-commerce landscapeBonus: Experience with acquiring or issuingThis role can be based in either our San Francisco or Chicago office.In San Francisco, the annual base salary range for this role is $95,000 - 125,000.
