We’re looking for a Senior Counsel to join Snap’s Employment Legal team! As a member of the Legal team, you’ll provide strategic advice and legal counsel regarding employment law issues globally. Working from one of our European offices, you will partner closely with other employment attorneys and cross-functional partners across the globe.What you’ll do:Provide employment law counseling, advice,  and day-to-day support for the People Team globallyGuide and advise on the development and implementation of employment policies and practices (including hiring practices, performance management, employee relations, internal investigations, terminations, leaves of absence, works councils, working time, compensation, and benefits) to ensure best practices and compliance with applicable laws and regulationsPartner with cross-functional teams, including the Legal and Executive teams, to provide strategic, business-oriented employment law guidance for successful execution of company initiativesCollaborate with the People team to generate training on employment law topics to improve internal processesProvide legal guidelines and support regarding the company’s contingent workforce and agency workersHandle and resolve escalated employment-related disputes and investigations.Manage the full range of employment litigation and regulatory matters, including the management of external counsel where appropriate.Support merger and acquisition transactions and related integration of employeesDraft and revise employment-related agreements (including employment agreements, confidentiality and intellectual property agreements, and settlement agreements), and train the People team on usage of appropriate templatesKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:Outstanding written and verbal communication and analytical skills with demonstrated strategic thinking and risk analysisExcellent interpersonal skills and business judgment with a dedication to teamwork, integrity, and collegialityProven track record to work effectively in a fast-paced environmentFlexible and willing to approach legal challenges with an entrepreneurial mentalityMinimum Qualifications:Fully qualified solicitor in the UKMinimum of 8 years’ post-qualification legal experience, with at least 3 years at a highly reputable law firmValid active license and registrationExperience employment counseling and litigation experiencePreferred Qualifications:Prior law firm experience, as well as in-house experience at a multinational companyGlobal employment law experienceM&A experienceAt Snap, we believe that having a team of diverse backgrounds and voices working together will enable us to create innovative products that improve the way people live and communicate. What you’ll do:

Outstanding written and verbal communication and analytical skills with demonstrated strategic thinking and risk analysis

Excellent interpersonal skills and business judgment with a dedication to teamwork, integrity, and collegiality

Proven track record to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Flexible and willing to approach legal challenges with an entrepreneurial mentality

Minimum Qualifications:

Fully qualified solicitor in the UK

Minimum of 8 years’ post-qualification legal experience, with at least 3 years at a highly reputable law firm

Valid active license and registration

Experience employment counseling and litigation experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior law firm experience, as well as in-house experience at a multinational company

Global employment law experience

M&A experience
