About the Role
This is a newly formed team that focuses on our Portal, Dashboards, and other components that our customers interact with. The team is responsible for both the frontend and backend layers, with a focus of 70% on the bacj end and 30% on the front end. The ideal candidate will have experience across the entire stack, possess extensive knowledge of frontend development, and be capable of working independently on the backend API layer.

Own key deliverables from e2e within our division’s quarterly roadmap and a subset of the key divisional SLAs/SLOsWork with the Engineering Manager & Product Manager to craft the roadmap for the MSP Portal teamArchitect efficient and reusable systems that drive complex web applicationsImplement features and user interfaces that better demonstrate Abnormal’s value to our customersIdentify and resolve performance and user interface issuesProvide guidance and mentorship for junior members of the teamRaise the bar of excellence in engineering, actively contributing to knowledge sharing within the team and participating in professional development activities.Hit the ground running contributing to the teams work in the first two weeksMust HaveBS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or other related engineering field6+ years experience designing and building complex full stack web applications1+ years as a tech/team lead for a team developing complex end-user facing featuresExpert with React, Redux, JS, and Typescript.Advanced with Python and/or GoYou’re growth driven & looking to increase impact & responsibility over timeMS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or other related engineering fieldFamiliarity with our backend stack - Django, Postgres/MySQL, AWSStartup or Cybersecurity ExperienceAt Abnormal Security certain roles are eligible for a bonus, restricted stock units (RSUs), and benefits. Base salary range:
$176,000—$207,000 USD
