This role requires high technical skills along with a strong affinity for architecture, Infra scaling, performance, and Infrastructure development to improve the performance and scalability of systems. You will be leading the R&D team’s development methodology, tools, and frameworks and make a significant impact on the “go-to-production” process for an auto-scaled cloud system.You’ll collaborate with product and engineering teams, including Agentforce and AI initiatives, to find infrastructure solutions that speed up software delivery. This includes working with tools like Istio, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and AWS, creating automation, designing data store architectures, and enhancing security.If you’re passionate about cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and want to work with cutting-edge technologies, we’d love to hear from you.Required SkillsA related technical degree required or proven years of experience in DevOps, with a significant portion of that in a cloud engineering role6+ years of design and implementation and architecture experience in large production public cloud infrastructure projects at scale with multiple teamsProven experience with AWS and more cloud platforms and their various products GCP/AzureExtensive experience with container-based tooling and deploymentProven experience with Kubernetes and familiarity with Helm and GitOpsProficient in at least one programming language: Go, Python or Java and the ability to read and review others in other programming languagesProven experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) implementation from code to production and agile development methodologiesFamiliarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools, such as Jenkins/SpinnakerUnderstanding of networking, SSL, TLS, and HTTP2Working knowledge of Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code technologiesDeep experience with Linux/Unix systemsExperience in distributed systems is a mustDesired CharacteristicsNatural curiosityIstio and/or other service mesh technologies and solid understanding of networkingExperience with secrets management, particularly VaultFamiliarity with DevSecOps or continuous securityBackground with big data technologies, such as Spark/KafkaWorking knowledge of common data storesAccommodationsIf you require assistance due to a disability applying for open positions please submit a request via thisAccommodations Request Form.Posting StatementAt Salesforce we believe that the business of business is to improve the state of our world.
