The project is responsible for developing a Virtual Display Unit that integrates Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) SW supporting Program Logic Controllers (PLC), Human Machine Interface (HMI) and Health & Monitoring (HMS) capabilities for shipboard propulsion systems.Essential Job ResponsibilitiesDesigns, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems using real-time embedded software and user interfaces. Coordinate with customer representatives and senior SW engineers to develop secure SW architecture. Provide Software configuration control, quality assurance has security hardening in accordance to DoD Secure Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGSs). Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met.
