With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Leidos Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.Primary ResponsibilitiesTheSoftwareSystems Engineerwill support systems engineering needs throughout the software lifecycle of complex software systems. This includes deriving requirements, defining architecture and interfaces, driving software behaviors, and supporting verification and traceability of requirements. The selected candidate will develop and maintain a clear understanding of the overall software system functionality, interdependencies and interfaces. This includes communicating with a multi-disciplinary engineering team of both internal and external stakeholders. The selected candidate will also assist in maintaining the SysML software model in Cameo Systems Modeler.

Primary ResponsibilitiesSupport verification and traceability of deliverables to software requirementsAssist in development of verification plans and process improvementsDevelop and maintain a clear understanding of overall system interdependencies and interfacesDerive software requirements with traceability to system requirementsImplement creative solutions to ensure program requirements are upheldIdentify, mitigate and resolve risksBasic QualificationsA Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university with 2+ years of experience or less than 2 years with MS degree.Experience using requirement database tool(s) such as DOORS or Cameo Systems ModelerDemonstrated understanding of the top-down systems engineering process for architecture development and bottoms-up verificationExperience in deriving requirements for complex systemsExperience defining system interdependencies and interfacesExperience effectively collaborating and communicating within a multi-disciplinary teamExperience working within an Agile environment (or equivalent)Resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL areaMust be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret ClearancePreferred QualificationsPreferred candidates will also have experience and/or working knowledge with:Model-Based Systems Engineering methodologies, particularly modeling in Cameo Systems Modeler (or equivalent) using SysMLDoD acquisition processes and methodsSoftware engineering throughout the software lifecycleOriginal Posting Date:2024-11-05While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.Pay Range:Pay Range $67,600.00 - $122,200.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
