DEPARTMENT SUMMARY
The Visa Facilities department is responsible for managing the design, planning, construction and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities. This function plans, budgets and schedules facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labour, materials and other related costs. The facilities function designs organisational policies relevant to the facilities department and develops criteria and performance specifications required to meet unique operating requirements and building and safety codes.
JOB SCOPE
To carry out monitoring and inspection of critical plant areas, essential for site operation. Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance, Reactive Repairs on both Mechanical and Electrical systems and equipment as a member of the on-site facilities team at Visa in Basingstoke.
This is an individual contributor role responsible for solving complex problems and taking a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions. This role serves as a technical/functional specialist and works independently with guidance only in the most complex situations.

Basic Qualifications• 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experiencePreferred Qualifications• A good basic education is essential, with good written and spoken English and mathematical skills.• IT skills (Microsoft Office)• Time served recognised apprenticeship• Recognised electrical qualifications• Recognised mechanical qualifications• IEE 18th Edition• C&G 2391 Inspection and Testing (or equivalent)• Safe Handling of Refrigerants• Previously HV/LV Appointed• General technical and functional knowledge of data centre and/or lab infrastructure to include electrical and mechanical systems, fire detection and protection systems, planned maintenance systems, building management systems, equipment maintenance, space planning, construction of critical facilities environments.• Candidate must be driven, self-motivated, and a strong team player• Must be physically fit, able to work 12 hour rotational shifts and available to join a call out rotation
