The systems engineer will be expected to work with internal and external stakeholders to define the modelling approach and create standard work for developing, using, interfacing, and controlling the models.Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will:Understand all digital program requirements and work within a matrix organization to execute on all digital aspects for the program.Perform model-based systems design and simulation to evaluate alternate architectures and to automate validation and verification activitiesDefine and streamline systems engineering processes to quickly and cost effectively execute advanced technology programs with heavy emphasis on application of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using a variety of techniques, methods and toolsPerform system engineering and provide technical / project leadership on Research & Development and New Product Introduction programsAllocate system functional requirements into efficient software and firmware architecturesDevelop innovative technical solutions utilizing the full capabilities of GE Edison Works on development programs and proposalsProvide technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced engineersStreamline systems engineering processes to quickly and cost effectively execute advanced technology programsGenerate and maintain systems engineering planning documentsInteract with customer engineering organizations to define and shape requirements for future platforms and systemsPerform modeling of and analysis of system safety aspects of product design
