Align and deploy purchasing decision making with the current global purchasing strategy focusing on standardization, supplier concentration, and implementationIdentify new technologies, new suppliers to meet gaps between needs & current supplier base, and work w/ commodity team to approve new supplierManage prototypes procurement and payment request for Mock-up, Engineering Build’s up and Industrial Pilot Run, negotiate and contract all purchasing terms and conditions for new products mass productionManage BOM (Bill of Material) cost evolution within project frame, ensure competition to meet product target cost, conduct total cost of ownership estimation and analyze supplier quotesJOB CRITERIA:EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:BS degree with a minimum 5 years' experience in Procurement or Supplier Chain Management.Technical background of Electrical or Electronics , Heating Cables, Plastics, Extrusion, Casting , Machining and Powder metallurgy is preferred.Good knowledge in supply chain management and solid experience of using quality tools such as : PPAP,FMEA preferred.Exposure to present result and activity plans, willing to work in an international environment.Willing to travel, about 20% working time on business trip.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:Fluently English skill on reading, writing, listening and speaking;Familiar with MS Office software;Ability to interpret complex drawings, engineering specs and standards;Maintains a professional level of knowledge regarding quality systems,WE HAVE:A dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every dayAt nVent, we believe safer systems ensure a more secure world.
