Position Summary:In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining accurate demand forecasts, managing inventory levels, and ensuring efficient supply chain operations. The Supply Planner will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align supply chain activities with business objectives, optimise inventory, and support production schedules. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience in supply chain management, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.Key Responsibilities:Demand Forecasting:Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and business insights.Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to incorporate promotional activities and new product launches into demand forecasts.Inventory Management:Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize excess or shortage.Implement inventory control measures to maintain product availability and reduce carrying costs.Supply Chain Coordination:Work closely with suppliers, manufacturers, and logistics providers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials and products.Coordinate production schedules with manufacturing teams to align with demand forecasts and inventory targets.Order Management:Manage purchase orders, ensuring accurate and timely placement and follow-up.Track and expedite orders to meet production and sales requirements.Performance Analysis:Analyze supply chain performance metrics, such as forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, and service levels.Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to enhance supply chain efficiency.Reporting:Prepare and present regular reports on supply chain performance, inventory status, and demand forecast accuracy.Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on analysis of supply chain data.Collaboration:Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, manufacturing, sales, and marketing, to align supply chain activities with business objectives.Facilitate regular meetings with key stakeholders to review and update supply plans.Continuous Improvement:Identify opportunities for process improvements within the supply chain and implement best practices.Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in supply chain management to drive innovation and efficiency.Risk Management:Assess and mitigate supply chain risks, such as supplier reliability, market volatility, and logistical challenges.Develop contingency plans to address potential disruptions in the supply chain.
